Established in 2001, the Detroit Community Development Awards is hosted by Detroit LISC, Community Development Advocates of Detroit (CDAD) and Michigan Community Resources. The work reviewed includes that of community leaders, small business owners, real estate developers and other whose vision, tenacity and hard work are transforming neighborhoods into better places to live, work, do business and raise families.
Various organization and leaders in the community are recognized. Each District includes several nominiees. The 2016 Detroit Community Development Awards will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 - please join us again at Cobo Center for an evening of inspiration from our Detroit residents and changemakers.
